Claudia
Hair Designer
About me:
I think it’s important to keep learning and to keep evolving as a hairstylist. I want to be fluent in the latest styles, trends and tools. I want my clients to feel confident that they can keep their hair healthy and always look their best. It’s a thrill to create a style for someone that flatters them so much everyone asks, “Who did your hair?” I know I’ve done my job well when the client looks in the mirror, smiles, and says, “I love it!”
Specialty:
I’ve always been known for cutting short hair, and I still enjoy it, but I am excited about all forms of hairstyling and coloring. I don’t want to limit myself
Favorite Styling Tool:
I love my ghd styler because it’s so versatile. I also like to use my fingers to move the hair, because hair shouldn’t look too perfect. When the finished style is tossed around a little, it’s touchable and modern.
Education / Experience:
I’ve been styling hair for 31 years. I attended Murphy’s College of Beauty in Lansing and then completed additional training at Horst Academy in Minneapolis; the Vidal Sassoon Academies in London and Miami, with Vivien MacKinder in New York City, and Kevin Murphy in Toronto.
Best Advice For Clients:
I tell them to wear their hairstyle with confidence – don’t overthink it. I don’t want them to put too much pressure on themselves to have “perfect” hair. Every day is another chance to practice styling their hair and to look their best.
